Hyperline was introduced as a proven maintenance product exceeding the requirements of BSEN 1436:2007 R2.

R2 is the minimum standard specification for performance and has a retro-reflectivity requirement of 100mcd/m²/lux after 24 months from application. HyperLine provides 500mcd/m²/lux on application and in excess of 200mcd/m²/lux after 24 months which meets the requirements of R4.

Since the introduction of HyperLine in 2006, over 3 million linear metres have been installed throughout various networks within the UK and Ireland. To date, there have been zero reported failures of HyperLine through performance.

Furthermore, HyperLine is a cold applied system that requires no heating of the material or equipment. The system comprises a Waterborne Acrylic Resin manufactured in Northern France and a combination of two sizes of glass beads, manufactured from Recycled Glass.

Being a Waterborne Acrylic Resin, the system reduces the impact on the environment by eliminating the requirement for solvents, and minimising the use of earth minerals. Without a requirement for heating of the materials or equipment, the use of Liquefied Petroleum Gas and / or Gas Oil for heating is eliminated. Reducing the impact on the environment and improving safety for the Road Marking Operatives.

Since 2006, to achieve the 3 million metres of HyperLineTM applied we have used approximately 160 Tonnes of Waterborne Acrylic Resin. To achieve the same output using Sprayed Thermoplastic an estimated 1,350 Tonnes of Thermoplastic Material would have been required. From this, we calculate an estimated reduction in material usage by 88%.
